Bayside Ready To Release Of The Walking Wounded On February 6, 2007 Band
Hitting The Road With Anberlin, Meg & Dia, Jonezetta
NEW YORK, NY - Victory recording artists BAYSIDE exited the studio just a few weeks ago and put the finishing touches on The Walking Wounded, the follow-up to their critically and commercially-acclaimed self-titled studio album which is set for release on February 6, 2007. The Long Island-based foursome's album is threatening to take them from indie rock darlings to a formidable rock entity. " The making of this record has been my entire life for the last five months," says vocal/guitarist Anthony Raneri.
In February, Bayside will be kicking off album release with a handful of hometown shows followed with a national tour directly supporting Anberlin along with Meg & Dia and Jonezetta (tour dates below) with many more dates to be announced.
Packed with melodic, energy-laden rockers like "Head on a Plate", "Dear Your Holiness", and "I and I", The Walking Wounded is the record that Bayside needed to make... an album rife with the lessons learned, increasingly intricate and infectious music, and three steps forward in experience, precision and complexity. Orchestral at times while raucous and punk-infused in others, Bayside have pulled together their bombastic rhythm section, searing guitar work, and Raneri's trademark note-jumping vocals. The first single "Duality" is the perfect example of the band's musical synergy which is evident throughout the feverishly cohesive album's twelve-tracks.

Holed up in General Studios on Long Island during the last two months, the band worked with the production team of Kenny Gioia and Shep Goodman (Lee Ann Womack, Hall & Oates, Mandy Moore) for a second time. "We had alot more time to make this record and a little more money," he explains about the recording of this record. "We wrote most of the last record on the road which really wasn't as inspiring as it sounds. This time around, however, we took some time to sit at home and write the record that we wanted to write. We're recording in bigger studios this time as well, which definitely makes for bigger sounds. Also, this being the second time around with Shep and Kenny producing, everyone knows everyone... everyone is comfortable. I know what they're going to say before they say it and vice versa."
Bayside is Anthony Raneri (guitars/vocals), Jack O'Shea (guitar), Christopher J. Guglielmo (drums) and Nick Ghanbarian (bass). The Walking Wounded is slated for release on Victory Records on February 6, 2007. Previous albums included Sirens and Condolences (2004) which sold over 50,000 and Bayside (2005) which sold 60,000.
