AirTran Airways Heats Up the Runway in Daytona Beach

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., launched flight service at Daytona Beach International Airport today with a water salute from Volusia County Fire Services Station 17 and a press conference. On hand to celebrate the new service were the Volusia County Council, community leaders and NASCAR star Matt Kenseth -- who waved the checkered flag as the inaugural AirTran Airways' flight arrived.
