KISSIMMEE, FL - Modern Day Drifter Dierks Bentley will team up with special guests Miranda Lamberts and Jason Aldean will bring his Live and Loud Tour to Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park on Thursday, April 19th 2007. Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 10th at 10AM and can be purchase at Silver Spurs Arena Box Office, all Ticketmaster Locations, charge by phone at 407-839-3900 or online at ticketmaster.com.
Dierks is currently touring in support of this third CD Long Trip Alone which was released on October 17th, 2006. Long Trip Alone follows on the heels of his first two Platinum-selling releases, the self-titled debut and “Modern Day Drifter”. Already, the lead single, “Every Mile A Memory,” from the Long Trip Alone album has been scorching up the charts is proving to be the singers fastest rising single of his career.
Bentley’s star has soared over the past year and half. Since the release of “Modern Day Drifter” in May 2005, Bentley has become the youngest member of the world famous Grand Ole Opry, a CMA Horizon Award winner, and most recently an ACM Top Male Vocalist award nominee. He has appeared on numerous major national television outlets and has rocked sold-out crowds all over the country. All three releases off “Modern Day Drifter” produced No. one hits, two of which spent multiple weeks in the top spot (“Lot of Leavin’ Left to Do”, “Come A Little Closer”, “Settle for a Slowdown”). His debut smash “What Was I Thinkin?” put the Phoenix-native on the map and the follow-up “How Am I Doin’” also boasts top five success.
Miranda Lambert wrote or co-wrote eleven of the twelve tracks on Kerosene, which debuted as the Number One Country Record in the Nation. With first week sales, the Texas singer/songwriter did what only six other country artists in the history of Soundscan had ever done; earned a Number One country chart debut on their very first release. Entertainment Weekly called Kerosene, “a spunky set of honky-tonk, country rock and Sheryl Crow inspired ballads,” adding, “Her vocals evoke Natalie Maines and she clearly knows how to write a killer tune.” Kerosene, has earned Lambert several critics’ pick awards as well as nominations for the prestigious Country Music Association’s Horizon of the Year and Academy of Country Music’s Top New Female Vocalist. Additionally, Lambert was voted Favorite New Voice On The Radio by Country Weekly readers and her video for Kerosene garnered nominations for ACM’s Video of the Year, CMT’s Female Video of the Year and CMT’s Breakthrough Video of the Year.
Broken Bow Records’ Jason Aldean is a GOLD certified artist headed towards PLATINUM for his debut release and celebrated ACM nomination for “Top New Male Vocalist”. Jason Aldean’s star is on the rise with a Top 10 single and No. 1 video under his belt for “Hicktown,” and his current single “Why” blasting up the charts to No. 13 this week. Aldean was also honored to make the first-round nominees for the 2006 CMT Music Awards for Breakthrough Video of the Year with "Hicktown" and is scheduled to perform at The Blue Note on April 27th.
Aldean has been burning up the asphalt past winter as an opening act for Grammy-award winning group Rascal Flatts. “Playing to sold out arenas on the Flatts tour has been a wild experience and has really helped me polish up my live show,” says Aldean. “I’m looking forward to getting out on the road with Miranda because I think our fans are real similar. They like to have a good time and we’re going to show them one!”
