Bullet For My Valentine Take Home Best Single For 'Tears Don't Fall' At The Kerrang! Aways Band To Headline Tour In US And With Iron Maiden
"Poised to become metal's next big thing!"- Metal Edge.
New York, NY - Bullet for My Valentine took home best single for "Tears
Don't fall" at the 13th annual Kerrang! Awards. The awards
ceremony, held in London, UK, was billed as a "twisted carnival" and
featured a series of burlesque performances,
with presenter Stuart Cable
- Kerrang! radio host and former Stereophonics drummer - in the role of
ringmaster.
B4MV have currently wrapped up their East Coast run of the
Vans Warped
Tour, and will headline the states in September before heading out with
Iron Maiden.
This UK export has been burning up our American shores for almost a
year, and has exploded since the release of The
Poison this past
February on Trustkill Records. The album, which is a ferocious metal
chops gleaned from 80's greats and intricate, dark, twin-guitar fury,
has scanned over 85,000 in the US alone since it's recent release.
Guitar World acknowledges B4MV's talent with a huge nod, saying that"One of BFMV's greatest assets is their ability to
play passages that
are scathing, endorphin pumped and catchy enough to hum." Metal Edge
calls Bullet's sound "as infectious as it is fresh." The band has
received feature covering in almost every major music magazine,
including the covers of Metal Hammer and Kerrang this past Spring, and
stories in Outburn, Rock Sound, Hit Parader, NME, Penthouse, Guitar One,
Alternative Press, and Revolver.
All of the buzz around B4MV led to an opening spot this spring on the
Rob Zombie and Lacuna Coil tour, followed by being the only opening act
for Guns N' Roses at the four sold-out New York City dates. BFMV is
continuing their run with GNR in Europe along with Metallica, and just
finished up a headlining run on the Trustkill Takeover Tour with Walls
of Jericho and Roses are Red.
B4MV is already a gigantic sensation in Europe with The Poison at nearly
at gold status, debuting #1 at Rock Radio. They were one of the main
stagers this year at the Download Festival, billed right below GNR and
Funeral For A Friend, hometown friends from Wales. B4MV are playing the
Leeds and Reading Festivals.
The band, composed of Tuck, Michael 'Padge' Padget (guitar), Michael
'Moose' Thomas (drums) or Jason 'Jay' James (bass) are childhood mates
from the area of Bridgeend.
