Monty Are I Got Game Songs To Appear on Tony Hawk Project 8, Downhill, and Sony’s ATV 4 On Tour With The Story of the Year, Anberlin, Greeley Estates

PROVIDENCE, RI - With the buzz on Stolen Transmission's MONTY ARE I’s debut album Wall of People building to a feverish pitch in the music world, they’ve begun to infiltrate another medium - video games. Their music will appear on the top three most-anticipated video games ready for release this fall - the cross-platform games Tony Hawk Project 8, Tony Hawk Downhill, and Sony’s ATV 4 on Playstation. Currently finishing up their tour with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Lorene Drive, they are gearing up for their Fall Tour with The Story of the Year, Anberlin and Greeley Estates which kicks off on October 13th at Columbia, MO’s The Blue Note.

Culled from their debut album, “In This Legacy” will appear in Tony Hawk Project 8, while “Between the Sheets” can be heard in Tony Hawk Downhill. Sony’s ATV 4 for Playstation will feature both songs. All three eagerly-awaited games will be released this Fall.

Monty Are I have been breaking down walls of people with their critically-hailed release, Wall of People, which has also been commercially viable as well, especially at merch tables set up at live shows. Picked as Budweiser.com’s “Band of the Month” for September and October 2006, their appeal is widespread and viral. With close to twenty thousand fans on MySpace, there aren’t any roadblocks ahead of these five guys from Rhode Island.

Monty Are I – comprised of Steve Aiello (vocals, lead guitar), Mike Matarese (bass), Andrew Borstein (keyboards, trombone, sequencing), and identical twins Justin (drums) and Ryan Muir (vocals, trumpet, guitar) – have been friends since high school in Cranston, Rhode Island, when the first incarnations of the band were assembled.

Wall of People was produced by Matt Squire (Panic! at the Disco, The Receiving End of Sirens) and was released on Stolen Transmission Records in September.

"[Wall of People] is a deft combination of the best elements of pop-punk; hook-laden melodies, energetic riffs a bit more complex than your normal three-chord fodder and vocals that shift from jumping yelps to falsetto-laced croons." - Alternative Press.

"The quintet's debut boasts ruthless riffs, melodramatic breakdowns, and Aiello's delightfully angsty vox as he meditates on everything from big city life to video games." - Spin.com.

I seldom hear a debut album with such total regard for the complete experience of recording... an excellent beginning to what I predict is going to be a banner run for this band!" - Blogcritics.
