Dashboard Confessional Announce Fall US Headlining Tour With Special Guests Brand New Bands to Play UCF Arena In Orlando, FL On November 11, 2006

New York, NY – After completing a nationwide sold out tour this past summer, Dashboard Confessional announced that they will embark on a full-scale US headlining tour this fall with Brand New as the special guests on all dates. The two bands are no strangers to each other, as they first toured together in the fall of 2003. “We're old friends,” Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba said in a recent interview with MTV.com, “and people have been asking us to do it again since the day our last tour together ended.” The tour will kick off on October 13th at the Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, Arizona. Dashboard Confessional will then headline the first night of the Bamboozle Left festival in Pomona, California on October 14th, with Brand New doing the honors on the evening after.

Dashboard Confessional – singer/guitarist Chris Carrabba, guitarist John Lefler, bassist Scott Schoenbeck and drummer Mike Marsh – continue to tour in support of their fourth album Dusk And Summer. Recorded with Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Pearl Jam) and Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2), the album debuted at Number Two on the Billboard Albums Chart and at Number One on the iTunes Top Albums Chart following its June 26th release on Vagrant Records. Dusk And Summer continues to build momentum and has shipped more than 500,000 copies to date.

Formed in Long Island, New York in 2001, Brand New – singer/guitarist Jesse Lacey, guitarist Vinnie Accardi, bassist Garrett Tierney, and drummer Brian Lane – have become one of the most fiercely respected bands in modern rock. Their second album, Deja Entendu, was named one of the best records of 2003 by The New York Times and produced the crossover hit, “The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows,” which received substantial commercial radio airplay. For much of the last year the band have been preparing their Interscope debut, portions of which they will be performing on this fall trek.
