Permanent Me Joins Stolen Transmission With Debut Album 'After The Room Clears' In Stores January 30, 2007

Produced By Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco)

Long Island band follow Bamboozle Left performance with a cross-country tour back home to New York
with Valencia and Sound The Alarm

February 2007 Tour Confirmed with Cartel, Cobra Starship and Boys Like Girls

New York, NY) New York-based Permanent Me – the newest signing to Stolen Transmission – has completed their debut album, AFTER THE ROOM CLEARS, which will arrive in stores on January 30, 2007. The album was recorded with producer Matt Squire, a major A-list figure who has thrown his hat in Permanent Me’s ring. Squire is celebrated for his work with Panic! At The Disco, Cute Is What We Aim For, Downtown Singapore, and fellow Stolen Transmission group Monty Are I, with whom Permanent Me toured last spring.

“Allison,” the first single from AFTER THE ROOM CLEARS, was first introduced on Permanent Me’s EP Dear Virginia, issued in February on the indie I Surrender label. That version was re-mixed by Permanent Me fan Deryck Whibley, lead singer of Sum 41, and is available for listening on myspace.com/permanentme and purevolume.com/permanentme. Currently, Permanent Me – who beat out a slew of bands to nail down their slot at last weekend’s Bamboozle Left extravaganza (in Pomona, CA) – are working their way back home over the next two weeks on-tour with Valencia and Sound the Alarm. (Please see remaining tour dates below). In February, Permanent Me will head out with Cartel, Cobra Starship and Boys Like Girls (routing coming soon).

Straight outta the mean streets of North Bellmore, Long Island, Permanent Me was organized by founding members Brian Kapler (vocals, guitar) and Joe Guccione (guitar, vocals). They were still in junior high school when they realized that life was too short to be stuck at home playing video games and doing homework. After stints in other bands, the two decided to try it on their own, eventually recruiting drummer Mike Fleischmann and newest member Justin Morrell on bass. They were originally known around L.I. as Yes, Virginia, until an album of the same title (by Dresden Dolls, on Roadrunner) forced a name change.
