Patent Pending Plays the Legendary CBGB's May 31, 2006

Long Island, NY (May 4, 2006) - Patent Pending, whose We Put Out Records debut Save Each Other, The Whales Are Doing Fine will be released 6/6, has just been added to the Vans Warped Tour. The Long Island-based pop/punk group recently wrapped up an east coast run with Catch-22, and will play the Flipside Festival 5/7 and Penny Rock Fest 5/27, before joining 13 key dates on the Warped Tour. The band is also excited to announce that they will be performing at the legendary CBGB's on May 31, 2006!

With one month to go before the release of Patent Pending's We Put Out Record debut on 6/6, fans are rallying, making Save Each Other, The Whales Are Doing Fine the #1 selling CD/DVD pre-order on Interpunk.com. Each order comes with a free t-shirt in appreciation. InSite Atlanta has called the album "a brilliantly original album from nearly the first track to the end" and has touted it as "a great argument for the survival of the album format in a singles-oriented marketplace." The band will celebrate the release with 2 parties on Long Island on June 9 & 10. In the meantime, the first single off the album, "This Can't Happen Again," is currently available as the featured download on AbsolutePunk.net.

About Patent Pending:

Patent Pending is what happens when you eat pop-rocks and drink a bottle of soda in under five minutes... EXPLOSION! This punk/pop band is defined by a trademark live show that could even get the Golden Girls out on the floor dancing. Mixing unforgettable sing-a-long lyrics with a driving rhythm section, the band has been quickly working their way into CD players all over the country for the last 3 years. In the past few years the band has released two independent DVDs, 2 full-length CDs, Biological Father and Don't Quit Your Day Job, and has sold out countless local venues in the Mid-Atlantic region. This past summer included over 60 shows nationwide with stops on the Van's Warped Tour and a live in-studio interview on Fuse TV's Daily Download. Last spring, the band was voted by fans all over the world through Purevolume.com to play The Bamboozle Festival in NJ.

With a passion for music, people, and touring, along with a work ethic that could erect the Great Wall of China, Patent Pending shows no signs of slowing down. Locally, they have played as opening support to some of the country's biggest bands including: Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Something Corporate, and Motion City Soundtrack, among many others. And, after 4 years, 2 CD's, over 450 shows in backyards/halls/venues all over the country, hundreds of 10 hour drives, 3 copies of the Jane Fonda work out tape, and over 1000 trips to the Wendy's and Taco Bell dollar menus, Patent Pending signed a "bootylicious" record contract with We Put Out Records.

Patent Pending's philosophy is simple: "There is no show too big, and no show too small, WE JUST CAME TO ROCK!"
