Kravis Center In West Palm Beach, FL Announces Big Stars for 2006-2007 Season Officially Unveiled July 18, 2006

It will be a season of laughs at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts when Kathy Griffin, George Carlin and Bill Cosby perform as part of the Kravis Center's 15th Anniversary season.

Kravis Center Senior Director of Programming Lee Bell announced that the three comedians will be among the stars performing at the Kravis Center in 2006-2007. Kathy Griffin will appear October 14 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15-$75. George Carlin will appear December 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15-$100. Bill Cosby will appear March 28 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15-$100. The Kravis Center's complete season will be unveiled on July 18.

The Kravis Center will hold its Public Ticket Sale Day for all 2006-2007 season presentations beginning 9 a.m. Sept. 16 in the Center's Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. Playhouse, 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach. Guests may order their tickets in person that day, by phone at (561) 832-7469 or (800) 572-8471; or online at the Kravis Center Web site, kravis.org.

Kravis Center members have the privilege of ordering tickets in advance of the Public Ticket Sale Day. The Center offers priority seating to donors according to their level of giving and by the date orders are received within each donor level. Memberships begin at $75. For more information about becoming a member, call (561) 651-4320.

The Kravis Center's lineup traditionally has remained a secret until the Center publishes its season brochure and mails it to donors, but increased competition in the South Florida market, as well as the availability of information on the Internet, has made it necessary to announce some performers early, Kravis officials said.

"Making this announcement early is really in the best interest of our guests, particularly those who live in Palm Beach and Martin counties," Bell said. "With other venues in South Florida already announcing their schedules, we want our guests to know that they can see these performers much closer to home."

Bell said there will be plenty of surprises when the Kravis Center officially announces its season on July 18, 2006.

"We've got some big, exciting names from the realms of Broadway and popular music as well as highly acclaimed artists from the worlds of dance, comedy, classical music and opera," he said.

The Kravis Center is located at 701 Okeechobee Blvd
West Palm Beach, FL - Phone: (561) 832-7469.
