More Than 33,000 Screaming Fans Attend Back-to-Back Sold Out Bon Jovi Shows St. Pete Times Forum Hosts Nearly 50,000 Fans Over Entire Weekend
This past weekend proved to be a great weekend at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Over 33,000 fans attended two sold out Bon Jovi concerts this past Friday and Saturday, marking the first consecutive two-show sell-out in 5 years. Bon Jovi entertained the crowd with their classic hits as well as material from their new blockbuster albumn Have a Nice Day. Fans attending Saturday’s concert got a special surprise when Jennifer Nettles – lead singer of Sugarland – joined the band on stage for the rousing hit Who Says You Can’t Go Home.
On Sunday, nearly 15,000 fans watched as the Tampa Bay Storm battled rival Orlando Predators, and fell in a thrilling finish in overtime, 67-62. The Predators win snaps the Storm’s 12-game home winning streak, and marks the first win for Orlando in Tampa Bay since 2002. Storm quarterback Shane Stafford set all-time game highs with 36 completions and 458 yards passing. Stafford added eight touchdowns to tie an all-time game high that he has set three times previously.
This week, the St. Pete Times Forum will host Grammy-Award winner Keith Urban with special guest Pat Green, on Friday, then the Storm takes on Austin on Saturday, and hockey returns following the Olympic break when the Tampa Bay Lightning battle the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, February 28, 2006.
