Pop-Soul Singer Lu's 'I Wish' Most Added (#8) On R&R
CHR Pop Indicator Radio Chart

Hard Hitting Track About Domestic Violence and Relationship Breaking Point Shares Chart with Blackeyed Peas, Green Day, Kanye West and Ashlee Simpson

Columbus Ohio based pop-soul singer LU's hard hitting first single "I Wish" from her independently released debut Issues (Studio Rat) has has a impressive first week at radio. The hard hitting track that touches on domestic violence and a relationship breaking point has tied for #8 on the Radio & Records most added CHR Pop Indicator panel.

Lu's first single shares the "Most Added" top ten with acts such as Blackeyed Peas, Green Day, Kanye West and Ashlee Simpson. Lu co-wrote "I Wish" with her longtime production duo of M'Shala and Hollis Jae, collectively know as "The Orange Cats."

" 'I Wish' is all about empowering women and that there is hope at the end of the darkness," says Lu whose voice has been compared to Sade anjd Toni Braxton. "That's the great part of indie music making," Lu continues. "Nobody was second guessing my decision to do an album that's emotionally stripped down, brutally honest and very autobiographical. Every word is personal and I wanted listeners to feel how raw all this was for me as I was recording it."
