Funeral for a Friend Sets First Headlining Tour of North America
NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/07/2005 -- Ferret/Atlantic recording group Funeral for a Friend will embark next month on the band's first headlining tour of North America in support of their latest album, "HOURS." After completing a stint on this summer's Vans Warped Tour, the band most recently supported Story of the Year on their U.S. itinerary.
The Welsh rockers will kick off the headlining tour in Ottawa on November 30 after supporting My Chemical Romance in Montreal on 11/29 and will perform throughout the U.S. before returning to Canada to wrap up on December 17 in Toronto.
Supporting acts on most dates include A Static Lullaby, Hopesfall, and Lovehatehero. In addition, Fueled by Ramen artist Paramore will join the line-up on a few select dates.
"HOURS," recorded with producer Terry Date (Soundgarden, Pantera, and Deftones), has received critical acclaim since its release this summer. Alternative Press declared the album "brilliant," and Stuff magazine gave it 4 stars. The album follows on the heels of 2003's breakthrough label debut, "CASUALLY DRESSED & DEEP IN CONVERSATION."
