Reggae Icon Buju Banton's Breathtaking "Magic City" Video Added Into Rotaion On MTV Jams & MTVU

Artist to Headline VP Records Memorial Weekend Concert in Miami & Link Up Media Westchester Reggae Fest in New York

(New York, NY—10, May 2005) Gargamel Music, Inc. is pleased to announce that the music video for “Magic City,” the rousing first single from Buju Banton’s highly anticipated album Rasta Got Soul, has been accepted into full weekend rotation on MTV Jams. The stunning Roots-Reggae clip has also been approved for the network’s influential new channel, MTVU, which broadcasts directly to closed circuit televisions on more than 700 college campuses across the US.

Shot over two days in Kingston and Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the “Magic City” video captures some incredibly intimate snapshots of island life and prevails as a refreshing portrayal of an artist, who after 15 years in the music business, has fully evolved. “Buju has such a remarkable presence on film,” says the director Troy Antonio. “He has this truth and openness that comes across in a very special way when photographed.”

“Magic City” has received stellar reviews in such international publications as The Source and The Beat, which gave the single 5 out of 5 stars.
