Thousand Foot Krutch Partners With Legendary Rock Producer On Upcoming New Album, "The Art Of Breaking" Scheduled For Release on July 19, 2005
New York, NY – March 7, 2005 – EMI/Tooth and Nail Records rock band THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH is currently in the studio with legendary rock producer Arnold Lanni working on their upcoming album The Art of Breaking. Lanni being known for producing famed rock bands like Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven, Simple Plan, and Kings X, to name just a few, will assist in helping the Toronto-based band fine tune their new sound. Lanni is also lending his writing skills to the album collaborating with TFK front man, Trevor McNevan. The synergy of these two has produced some amazing songs. “We are so excited to turn over a new page, and evolve stylistically into a record that will better represent who we are as a band. We try to keep giving our fans something fresh.” says McNevan.
The Art of Breaking is the follow up release to TFK’s critically-acclaimed and award nominated album, Phenomenon. Phenomenon featured the single, “Rawk Fist,” which found acclaim in several different avenues including Active Rock Radio, CHR, television Shows (ESPN Sportscenter, UPN’s Smallville, NFL Films) and various sporting events (Tennessee Titans, Oklahoma Sooners Foot Ball, Toronto Rock Lacrosse). TFK brought the excitement of this single to many diverse audiences when playing with the likes of DISTURBED, 3 Days Grace, Chevelle, Switchfoot, and The Donnas. “Rawk Fist” topped on the Active Rock Charts at #23 well into the spring and summer seasons of 2004 and had garnered the #72 position of the Year End Chart of 2004. Other singles grabbed high charting position on their respective charts.
In February, TFK was nominated for a JUNO AWARD which is equivalent to the Grammy Awards in Canada. This continues to prove that TFK is a band that will continue to be respected by their peers on a industry level and band to band level. Look for the “Art of Breaking” to be released July 19, 2005.
