Tampa Bay area band Pleasant Problem has recently been selected to be featured on a compilation CD at the MIDEM international music festival in France this January.
The MIDEM music festival is one of the largest, if not the largest music conference in the world. There are key players from all facets of the global music industry in attendance scouting for new talent.
Pleasant Problem was a band created by Ron Ritter and Josh Williams and
started off as a studio project. The music which can be listened to at myspace.com/pleasantproblem, was written, recorded, and engineered by the duo and has gained alot of positive responses in the industry already. Recently, Pleasant Problem has gained two new members.
John George recently moved to the bay area from Ohio where he was drumming for his band Fat Zero. He has exceeded all expectations and has become a drumming madman that adds an incredible amount of energy to the music. The other new addition was DJ Mantis, a well renowned DJ from Greece who has been living in the states now for a couple of years. DJ Mantis is bringing an amazing amount of electronic energy to this live show that is unrivaled.
This year could possibly be the year of Pleasant Problem, and this is definitely a band that we should all keep our eyes on.
What started as a studio project is now being featured at an international music festival and has now evolved into a live show that will blow you away.
Watch out for Pleasant Problem in 2005!
