Collective Efforts Update!
After rocking their sold-out New Years Eve show (along with MC Wyzsztyk of Psyche O) at the Tabernacle here in Atlanta, Collective Efforts has been invited to join friends Sound Tribe Sector 9 for two nights at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA January 28th and 29th. CE is working on some tracks with STS9 and we hope to have some more exciting news on that front.
CE’s self-titled album drops in Japan on January 21st. It features re-mastered cuts from their first album,“Visions of Things to Come”, cuts from the group’s upcoming US release “Trail Mix” (February ’05) as well as some re-mixes and an exclusive track called “Higher We Rise.” (“Higher We Rise” is currently making its way around Japan as an exclusive 12” single.) Both the Japanese CD and the 12-inch are now available for pre-order, along with pre-orders for “Trail Mix,” at arcthefinger.com. Supplies of both are limited so act quickly to reserve your copies!
Minamina Goodsong Update!
Minamina is in the studio putting the finishing touches on “Four Farmer Circus,” their fourth full-length release, featuring collaborations with Mars Ill, Dres Tha Beatnik, Rising Sons, Ishues, Psyche Origami, Theory of Mind, Collective Efforts, Binkis Recs and their own various split-personalities. This album is shaping up to be a who’s who of the 2nd generation ATL indie hip-hop scene, and pre-release critical response has been positive.
Keep your eyes open for “Four,” Minamina’s 12” single, before the end of the winter and an album release in the early spring. AD, Pgnut, Ted Jon and T’Challa will be hitting the road in April in support of the new album. For those of you who can’t wait for the new Minamina release, ATF is in the process of re-mastering and re-releasing “Time for Breakfast” and “Snatch, Grab, I Love You,” the first two Minamina studio albums. These re-releases, which will include previously unreleased bonus material, should be available in the coming weeks.
