New Found Glory Goes "Back To Basics" US Tour With Reggie And The Full Effect & Eisley Begins March 10, 2005

Santa Monica, California, February 17, 2005 - Let the tour begin! Geffen band New Found Glory is set to dive-bomb the US on their "Back to Basics Tour" with friends Reggie and the Full Effect and Eisley in tow. This tour marks the band's first chance to go out on a full run of dates (dates on following page) to get up close and personal with fans since the release of their latest CD "Catalyst."

New Found Glory's new CD "Catalyst," released May 18, 2004, enjoyed a #3 debut on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart. The album, which shipped Gold, scanned 146,816 its first week. This effort topped 2002's "Sticks and Stones," which entered the chart at #4 with over 91,000 copies sold. The album's singles "All Downhill From Here," "Failure's Not Flattering (What's Your Problem)" and "I Don't Wanna Know" were all radio and video hits.

In November, 2004, New Found Glory released a new concert DVD - "This Disaster: Live In London" - filmed at London's Forum Club in August 2004. The 2-hour DVD is jam-packed with behind-the-scenes extras. As seen on the DVD, as part of the bonus footage, the electrical power suddenly went out and instead of freaking, the band continued to entertain the audience in the dark, performing songs acoustically.

To help UNICEF help tsunami victims NFG pitched in with Teen People Magazine and Ashlee Simpson for a charity eBay auction. NFG donated a package including four tickets to see a show on the upcoming tour; merchandise for each of the four attendees; a meet and greet with New Found Glory; and VIP passes for all four ticket holders to watch the show from the side of the stage, just like the band's friends do. The auction, ran through Monday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. EST.

In other charity news, the band teamed up with peta2.com-PETA's youth-focused Web site-to give away an iPod uploaded with three songs from the band's latest CD and 12 of their favorite songs by other artists, including some surprises like "Faithfully" by Journey. The Grand Prize winner will also receive an autographed "Catalyst" CD, autographed T-shirts, and a DVD of "Troma's Tales From the Crapper", featuring New Found Glory. Four first-prize winners and four second-prize winners will also receive merchandise.

New Found Glory hails from Coral Springs, Florida and is comprised of singer Jordan Pundik, drummer Cyrus Bolooki, bassist Ian Grushka, and guitarists Chad Gilbert and Steve Klein. First formed in 1997, NFG launched their recording career with 1999's "Nothing Gold Can Stay," followed by their 2000 EP "From The Screen To Your Stereo," 2001's gold-certified self-titled album, and 2002's nearly platinum "Sticks and Stones."
