Trivium Band News: Band To Be Opening At Metal Hammer Awards Show On June 13, 2005

Good news - we will be opening this years Metal Hammer Awards show in the UK Monday night June 13, 2005. Trivium will open this years show (more acts to be named soon) - should be alot of fun, also Trivium have been nominated for best new comer in the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards! The awards will be broadcast four times on national TV in the UK (twice on ITV and twice on ITV2) and the TV people are expecting a million viewers across the four broadcasts!

So, in order for Trivium to win one of the coveted Golden Gods (previous winners include Marilyn Manson, Iron Maiden, HIM and Metallica) we need your HELP VOTE for Trivium!

The Golden Gods 2005 Are Go!

Following the rip roaring success of last year's Metal Hammer Awards, The Golden Gods, MH.co.uk is pleased to announce that we've got the go ahead for The Golden Gods 2005!

We took into account the total carnage of last year's event - Nikki Sixx trashing a guitar and Dimebag (RIP) getting utterly wasted and inspiring no-holds-barred debauchery all round - and decided "Fuck! Yes, we want more!"

The Golden Gods 2005 will be taking place at the London Astoria on Monday, 13th June. Everyone who's anyone in twin worlds of heavy and metal will be in attendance, hoping to win one of our coveted Golden Gods or just coming along to enjoy the show!

And speaking of the show...

Unlike most magazine award shows, The Golden Gods is very much that - a SHOW! And it's a show for you guys, our readers. Opening the night's proceedings will be Florida metal titans in the making, Trivium. Following hot on their heels will be Massachusetts' very own Shadows Fall, who played at the inaugural Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2003, and have decided to come back for more!

The event's headline act and main support will also be announced very shortly. But, without giving too much away, we know that you hold the goth metal stylings of one of these bands very dear to your hearts. The other act are truely undisputed heavy metal superstars. Fact!
