Angel Performs at "Beating The Odds Student Rally" At Heinz Field In Pittsburgh, PA On May 10, 2005
Angel And Kenny Loggins Are Celebrity Advisors To The Organization Giving Hope To Students From Various Backgrounds Who Are Struggling
ANGEL, the young California-based musical artist who made a big splash this year is winding down her own student-inspiring concert tour… but has added one more special event to her schedule before re-entering the recording studio. It was announced today that Angel will join a host of politicians and stars from the world of sports and will perform at the Beating The Odds Student Rally on May 10, 2005, 11 a.m. at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Among other items on the agenda, there will also be a military fly-over in tribute to the U.S. troops and their families.
The Beating The Odds Foundation is an organization that is near and dear to Angel’s heart as she (along with music star Kenny Loggins) sits on their Celebrity Advisory Board. Also there is a home-town connection because her family, not to mention Ron Clapper the president of her label Midas Records, is from Pennsylvania.
Angel is very familiar with inspiring young people due to her year-long VH1 Save The Music tour, where Angel performed at over 200 schools and talked to approximately 175,000 students about not using drugs, alcohol and tobacco. She is currently in pre-production for the follow-up to her debut solo album Believe In Angels… Believe In Me with hit-making producers Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson (Destiny’s Child, Sisqo, Babyface, Boyz II Men).
