The long awaited
ninth album from Scotland's best kept secret - Composer Tim McGowan
has been released to a very appreciative American & Canadian
audience.
The new "Kingdom" CD has been getting rave reviews from
new age radio station programmers and broadcasters.
Across the U. S "Kingdom" had entered Top Ten Play lists
prior to and in the first week of its official release on November
5th 2004.
MCGOWAN'S KINGDOM Radio stations across the the U.S.A & Canada
have been picking up on his unique sound which blends haunting
instrumental melodies and harmonies together beautifully using
lush orchestral strings, piano, guitar and the subtle use of traditional
Celtic instruments such as uilleann pipes and bodhran.
More and more radio station broadcasters and programmers in the
states are expressing their favorable opinion of his music and
are adding tracks from all of his CDs to their play lists.
Pete Havey, broadcaster of Mystic
Soundscapes Radio Station commented: "I
spent the morning listening to (and thoroughly enjoying) the new "Kingdom" release.
All I can say is, "Amazing!" In my (humble) opinion,
this is one of Tim's best releases to date. "Kingdom" has
an adventurous feel to it - I imagined myself traveling through
distant lands and taking in the sights and sounds. An awesome experience!
It's obvious he took a lot of time and put his heart and soul into
this project, and I thank him for sharing his talent and his music
with us! Congratulations to Tim on an outstanding piece of work,
the wait was definitely worthwhile."
It is apparent that we are going to be hearing allot more from
Scottish composer Tim McGowan who now resides in Florida and had
previously written music scores in Scotland and throughout Europe for various theatre and film projects. He is destined to become
a household name in the new age instrumental genre along with the
familiar names Yanni, David Arkenstone, Vangelis and Kitaro.
