Darkest Hour On Tour With
Between The Buried And Me
With a strong foundation of Gothenburg-style Swedish death
metal, hardcore song structures, and punk rock attitude, DARKEST
HOUR is back on the road following their busy summer spent on OZZFEST.
Their current album, "Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation”,
was just re-released with a bonus DVD including an on-the-road
documentary with Darkest Hour. “Hidden Hands…” was
recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg Sweden (At the Gates,
In Flames, Cradle of Filth) and Darkest Hour has delivered their
most mature and extreme material to date. Lyrically, the record
focuses on many issues, from aspects of American culture to personal
relationships, to a song about the whole band being locked up by
the Feds in Oklahoma. With their strong political backgrounds, "Sadist
Nation" is an indictment of America's culture of guns and
violence while "Marching To The Killing Rhythm" and "ThePatriot
Virus" condemn blind patriotism and military arrogance equally.
“Darkest Hour is at the forefront of metal’s new
titans.” -Metal Maniacs
Joining Darkest Hour on the road are labelmates BETWEEN
THE BURIED AND ME, who’s trademark blend of insane metal/hardcore has
made them quite a name in the heavy music scene. BTBAM find a way
to make heavy music refined yet powerful, inventive yet distinct,
at times chaotic, then soothing. With a myriad of influences ranging
from their hardcore and metal roots to artists like the Smashing
Pumpkins and Dream Theater, their Victory debut, “The Silent
Circus”, is a sincere, artistic album that will revolutionize
the face of heavy music. Between The Buried And Me have toured
with the likes of Converge, Cave In, Terror, and many more.
"My hat is off to Between The Buried
And Me, who have produced
a metal gem and undoubtedly one of the best albums of the year." -Uranium
