Bad Boy Records' Newest Star MARIO WINANS Continues to Dominate the Charts With His Critically-Acclaimed Album HURT NO MORE Album Remains In the Top 10 For Four Weeks. Smash Hit Single 'I Don't Want To Know' #2 On Hot 100 Singles Chart. Bad Boy Records Has Two Titles In The Top 10!

NEW YORK, May 25 /PRNewswire/ - Bad Boy Records singer/song- writer/producer/musician Mario Winans is a Top 10 staple on the Pop and R&B/Hip-Hop charts since its release 5 weeks ago. This week, Winans' Bad Boy debut Hurt No More claims the #6 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and is #9 on the Top 200 Albums chart. The album has currently sold over 950,000 copies and is rapidly approaching platinum due to the enormous popularity of the smash hit "I Don't Want To Know," which currently ranks #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart.

Radio stations in all major markets were swamped with requests for "I Don't Want To Know" when it was leaked earlier this year. Featuring sample from Enya's "Bodecia" and verses from P. Diddy, the single quickly became a radio favorite. Critics have embraced the album: The New York Times calls Hurt No More "one of the best R&B albums of the year so far..."

Hailing from the world's most renowned gospel family, The Winans and son of gospel legend Vickie Winans, MarioWinans is upholding his family's name with his recent success. The Detroit native was long regarded as a very talented producer and musician [He plays various instruments including the piano, drums and keyboard] before venturing out as a solo artist. He has written and produced songs for some of the music industry's biggest names, including Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, David Bowie, Beyonce, label mate Carl Thomas, Jennifer Lopez and is currently working with Toni Braxton.

Winans is currently preparing to film the music video to his follow-up single, "Never Really Was" featuring Lil Flip. He is also currently gearing up for a promotional tour throughout Europe where the album is thriving. It is currently gold in the UK.

As Bad Boy Records celebrates the success of Winans' debut, the independent record label also finds success with another title, 8 Ball & MJG's Living Legends enters the charts at #3 this week. This is the sixth Bad Boy title to enter into the Top 10 on the Albums chart since Bad Boy Records inked a venture deal with Universal Records in 2003.
