Jagermeister Music Tour Comes Screaming to a Halt! Spring Tour Sells Out! Fall Tour with Slayer in the Works!

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., May 24 /PRNewswire/ - The Jagermeister Music Tour (Spring 2004) has come to an end, letting loose the last of the rage at its final stop on May 14th at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. The Tour, which featured the return of Slipknot along with Fear Factory and Chimaira, was a phenomenal success: 27 of the 31 shows sold out while critics and fans alike heaped on the praise.

The Jagermeister Music Tour was a "rolling thunder circus of metal mayhem" (The Hollywood Reporter.com). Critics lauded the Tour for bringing back metal: " ... prepare yourself," warns The Anniston (AL) Star, " ... and get ready to scream evil because heavy metal ... has returned from the dead." "This tour brings together some of the more forward-thinking bands in the hard, dark and heavy department," attests Digital City.

It was a true "headbangers' holiday" (Worcester Telegram & Gazette) as Slipknot, the masked metal monsters, donned their newest disguises for this, their return after a three-year hiatus. Securing Slipknot for the Tour was a major move, one the Jagermeister Tour is now able to pull off thanks to its past success and reputation for putting together killer shows with major talent and innovative lineups.

"The Tour has become a staple event for metal heads and it's getting bigger and bigger each year," says Rick Zeiler, Director of Marketing and Brand Development for Sidney Frank Importing Co., inc., the importers of Jagermeister. "Jagermeister gave the fans more with posters, swag, and chances to win really cool custom Jagermeister equipment from sponsors like Schecter, Peavey, Pearl, Meinl, and Coffin Case." The Tour also flexed its muscle by taking the show to larger venues, with capacities from 2000 to 6000.

Now in their fourth year as Tour Meisters, the folks at Jagermeister look forward to their Fall Tour, bringing back the band that led last year's charge - Slayer.

Look for the Jagermeister Music Tour (Fall 2004) to kick off in late fall. In the meantime, watch for Jagermeister at concerts and shows throughout the country featuring the over 150 bands sponsored by Jagermeister. And of course, look for Jagermeister at this year's Ozzfest. This marks the fifth year that Jagermeister has been a sponsor of hard rock's most popular and successful spectacle. This year, the biggest ever for Jagermeister with Ozzfest, the Jagermeister tent will host signings with Jager Bands Slayer, Hatebreed, Dimmu Borgir, Unearth, DevilDriver, and Lacuna Coil.
