May 24, 2004 - Philadelphia singer/songwriter Ben Arnold is not new to the music scene.  He first came into the public eye in 1995 with his high profile debut release Almost Speechless (Ruffhouse/Columbia). Most recently, he recorded and toured as part of the critically acclaimed collaboration known as 4 Way Street (with Jim Boggia, Joseph Parsons, and Scott Bricklin), who's album Pretzel Park was released on Sanctuary/BMG in 2003.

Today, with his highly anticipated studio album Calico (out on SCI Fidelity Records on July 20, 2004), Ben Arnold offers a fresh and upbeat collection of thirteen original songs.  Calico eloquently demonstrates the impressive songwriting talent, distinctive melodies and ever-evolving storytelling that long ago marked Ben as a musician worthy of a fruitful and long lasting career: proof that this release is just the project to deliver that forecast.

Full of the unique lyrical phrasing and offbeat detail that has him reputed as a contemplative performer and writer, one listen to Calico and you will notice Ben's mood today is surprisingly playful.
