Authority Zero Announce Headline Tour. Vans Warped Tour Dates To Follow. Sophomore Album "Andiamo" Hits The Streets June 29,2004.
June 24, 2004- NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Authority Zero will head out on a cross county headline tour beginning July 11 in Boise, ID.
The gents will promote sophomore album Andiamo, which hits the streets June 29. Following their headline club gigs, the quartet will jump on the east coast swing of the ultimate punk rock outing, the Vans Warped Tour. Authority Zero's first single from Andiamo, "Revolution," is getting spins across the country and just scored a massive add with the influential alternative station 91X in San Diego. "Revolution" is currently Top 100 on the CMJ charts as well and the companion video, with its hilarious mix of iconic larger-than-life characters, is featured on Fuse as well as MTV U.
Authority Zero is no stranger to pounding the pavement. The streetwise fellows toured non-stop for over a year promoting their major label debut A Passage In Time, hitting the road with every credible punk band including NOFX, Sum 41, Pennywise, MxPx, H20, and Social Distortion. With comparisons to Sublime (Idaho Statesman) and "Pennywise or Bad Religion at their finest" (Chicago Daily Herald), Authority Zero has established a hard-won reputation for their raucous live concerts.
Their sophomore album, Andiamó, produced by famed Fat Wreck knob-twister Ryan Green (NOFX) and un-official Sublime member Mike Happoldt (a.k.a. Miguel), was recorded at SJS Studios in Scottsdale, Arizona. Andiamó showcases the band's effusive writing abilities and is their ode to bucking the status quo. Andiamó's driving first single "Revolution" and the sardonic, edgy cover of Wall of Voodoo's alternative hit "Mexican Radio," have already become concert favorites.
Authority Zero is vocalist Jason DeVore, guitarist Bill Marcks, bassist Jeremy Wood, and drummer Jim Wilcox. Authority Zero established a loyal fanbase, selling 85,000 copies of their major label debut "A Passage In Time" with good old-fashioned hard work.
