Taking Back Sunday Headline Warped Tour, Prepare For Release Of "Where You Want To Be"

Chicago, July 1, 2004 - The Warped Tour is on the
road, and Taking Back Sunday are one of the
headliners on what has become known as punk rock summer camp, performing incendiary shows daily and organizing as many kickball games as possible during down time.

As the tour winds it's way through North America, Victory and Taking Back Sunday prepare for the
release of their much anticipated sophomore release, "Where You Want To Be," which is receiving rave reviews in publications like Teen People and Alternative Press (upcoming press includes, SPIN, Rolling Stone, Blender, Entertainment Weekly, Alternative Press and Revolver) and generating impressive spins at radio stations around the country. ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live will present Taking Back Sunday on July 27th, the day the record hits the streets.

After spending the early part of the year writing and arranging their new songs, some of which were written while on their previous tour and some newly penned, Taking Back Sunday signed Lou Giordano on as producer.  Famous for his work with Sugar, Husker Du, Sunny Day Real Estate and Belly, Giordano’s innovative spirit, tremendous experience and faith in the band won them over and created an electric work environment in the studio.  Guitarist and founding member Eddie Reyes adds “recording with Lou is like being in school again because he is a teacher and you learn so much from him.”   “The new album is still very Taking Back Sunday, but more mature and more rock and roll,” continues Reyes. "The first record was written for fun and the love of music, no expectations.  Even though it’s done more than we ever expected, I still tried to go into the second record the same exact way.  We’re all here to have fun, hopefully the audience will enjoy it and feel the same way.”
