Snoop Dogg Premieres Exclusive Original Series on XM Satellite Radio - The Rap Icon's Signature Show 'Welcome to Da Chuuch with Big Snoop Dogg' Premieres on XM's Classic Hip Hop Channel the Rhyme on December 3, 2004.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ - XM Satellite Radio, the nation's #1 satellite radio provider, has enlisted iconic rap superstar Snoop Dogg to helm his very own original series, Welcome To Da Chuuch With Big Snoop Dogg, premiering Friday, December 3 at 8PM ET/5PM PT on XM's classic hip hop channel The Rhyme (XM Channel 65). Fresh off the release of his hotly anticipated new album R&G--Rhythm and Gangster: The Masterpiece, which debuted earlier this month to resounding critical acclaim, Snoop will be taking over the XM airwaves monthly for ninety minutes of uncensored, uncut, and masterfully unpredictable radio. Ranging from old school to new school to completely out of school, it will be personal radio at its best and most outrageous as Snoop Dogg drops it like it's hot, exclusively for XM listeners.

"Having the opportunity to offer our audience truly original listening experiences with the biggest names in music is the ultimate goal of our original programming initiative," said XM Satellite Radio Chief Programming Officer Lee Abrams. "Welcome To Da Chuuch With Big Snoop Dogg is exactly the kind of broadcast event we strive for, and it's a thrill to be working hand in hand with an artist of this stature."

From the moment Snoop Dogg first rose to superstardom on Dr. Dre's now- classic 1992 album The Chronic and its massive single "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang," the Los Angeles-area native's legend began to grow. Snoop introduced the world to 213, The Eastsidaz and his Doggy Style All Stars, and spawned solo hits including "What's My Name," "Gin & Juice," "Just A Baby Boy," and the 2002 #1 smash "Beautiful" from the GRAMMY® -nominated album Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$.

Preceded by the smash single "Drop It Like It's Hot," co-executive produced by Snoop and The Neptunes, Snoop's new Doggystyle/Geffen album R&G-- Rhythm and Gangster: The Masterpiece hit the marketplace on November 16, and was greeted by reviews that unanimously justified the disc's title. Leading with "Snoop paints a rap 'Masterpiece,'" USA Today wrote, "The laid-back rapper with the larger-than-life persona revels in his status as a player's player ... The genre-blending R&G plays out like a hustler's handbook on living large and dealing with everything from honeys to hangers-on while staying above the fray."

The album's next single will be the buzzed-about track "Blown," and the stellar disc also features appearances from 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Lil' Jon and Trina, Pharrell of the Neptunes, and P-Funk bassist Bootsy Collins, among others. At this triumphant moment in his career, Snoop brings his inimitable style and peerless flow to his first-ever radio show, airing exclusively on XM Satellite Radio from the artist's personal home studio in Los Angeles, CA.

Broadcast 100% commercial-free, Welcome To Da Chuuch With Big Snoop Dogg premieres Friday, December 3 at 8PM ET/5PM PT on XM's classic hip hop channel The Rhyme (XM Channel 65). The show will be repeated on Saturday, December 4 at 6PM ET/3PM PT and Tuesday, December 7 at 11AM ET/8AM PT, and encore performances of episode one will also air Friday, December 24 at 8PM ET/5PM PT; Saturday, December 25 at 6PM ET/3PM PT; and Tuesday, December 28 at 11AM ET. New installments of Snoop's XM tour de force will debut every four weeks, with each episode following the same encore schedule.
