UK Ragga-Metal Band Skindred Joins Label Mates Nonepoint On North American Headline Tour.

Tour To Bring Eclectic Metal-Infused Music To The Masses Beginning August 20th

New York, NY - August 10, 2004 - Ft. Lauderdale rockers Nonpoint are hitting the road with fellow label mates Skindred on what could be one of the most electrifying headline tours of the Summer.   The tour kicks off August 20th in Hartford, Connecticut, continuing on through October 9th ending in Atlanta.

Nonpoint will be supporting their brand spanking new album "Recoil" which came out on Lava Records on August 3rd, featuring the politically charged first single The Truth.  The volatile track was #1 most added at rock radio and can be heard in nearly every market in the Top 20, including heavy hitters WZZN (Chicago), WAAF (Boston), WRIF (Detroit), KUPD (Phoenix) and KXXR (Minneapolis).

Known for putting on an aggressive live show, Nonpoint has toured with a who's who of rock elite including a recent stint with Sevendust and previous road trips with Linkin Park, The Deftones, Disturbed, Mudvayne and Glassjaw.  Joining Nonpoint on the road is critically acclaimed, reggae/rock hybrid Skindred.  The band will be touring in support of their upcoming Lava Records debut Babylon which is scheduled for release on August 31st.  Babylon showcases the band's bombastic fusion of Reggae and Metal with equal doses of Punk, Dub and straight up rock n' roll.  The quartet features former Dub War vocalist Benji Webbe, who was described by British magazine Q as a "God fearing black man brought up on equal doses of Sex Pistols and Max Romeo. "  In other words, if you like Bad Brains - this band is for you!
