July 21, 2007 - Recently we chatted with Paolo Gregoletto of Trivium who are curently peforming on this year's Family Values Tour. Paolo told us what it's been like so far for the band on this tour and how they are looking forward to the Family Values show in Orlando, when the band gets to play in their hometown.

Trivium

FES : How did Trivium get selected for this year's Family Values Tour lineup?

Paolo: Family Values asked to be apart of the tour this summer and we heard that it was a great summer festival tour from other bands.

FES : What are your thoughts on being selected to perform on this year’s Family Values Tour?

Paolo: We feel honored to have been asked to be apart of such a diverse line up. For us this is such a great way to branch out to many more people all across the U.S. and to expose our music to a wider audience, and for many Trivium fans that have only seen us in clubs, this will be their first time experiencing a Trivium show on a much larger scale. So pretty much it's going to be a bad ass summer!"

FES : Now that the Family Values Tour has started what has it been like so far for the band?

Paolo :  Well we just played the first show yesterday and it went great. There are lots of new people seeing us for the first time. It was a great sign when kids up on the lawn started running across to get to the pit before our set was over.

FES : Trivium is from Orlando , FL and The Family Values Tour are playing 3 Florida shows, [August 12 in Orlando, August 14 in West Palm Beach and August 15 in Tampa] including the band's hometown. What does it mean for Trivium to play shows on this tour in the band's home town and state?

Paolo : It is awesome to play home state and town shows because lots of friends and family come out and they get to see how far you have come along with the band. It's also great to get a day off at home too, can't beat that!

FES : Does Trivium plan on chronicling the band's exploits on The Family Values tour and if so where can fans go to see or read it?

Paolo: We have our web guy Justin (aka Ninju) out with us on the whole tour getting tons of video and photos of every aspect of the tour, from down time to show time. The majority of this stuff, including our own personal band blogs will be available on our newly launched fan club Triviumworld.com.

FES : What will be band be doing to kill time during off days?

Paolo: Depends where we have the day off, sometimes we are near big cities with lots to do, or in the middle of nowhere where Wal-Mart is the town mall.

FES : How many songs will Trivium be performing and will it be a mixture of newer and older Trivium material?

Paolo: On Family Values [set] we will be doing a 30 minute set made up of mainly Ascendancy and Crusade stuff. But we are doing a new one from the Crusade called “Becoming the Dragon” which we are really excited about.

FES : Out of all the bands playing, excluding Trivium, who would you say is the Must see performer?

Paolo: Korn, they have a great stage show and are playing a bunch of songs I have wanted to see them play.

FES : Do you have anything to say to fans that will [and have] watch[ed] Trivium play on this year's Family Values Tour?

Paolo: Thanks for coming out and supporting us as always, we wouldn't have been able to get to this point with out you!!!

Trivium is:
Matt Heafy - Lead Vocals/Lead/Rhythm Guitar
Corey Beaulieu - Lead/Rhythm Guitar/Harsh Vocals
Paolo Gregoletto - Bass/Backing Vocals
Travis Smith - Drums

Trivium is from Orlando, FL and tour on a regular basis. Trivium's latest album "The Crusade" is now available at all the usual outlets.
