July 2, 2007 - Tokyo Rose will be releasing their fourth album, The Promise in Compromise, July 31, 2007. This is an emo/rock album you just may enjoy.

Tokyo Rose |
Boasting mature lyrical content and an ever so melodically agreeable vocal performance, prepare yourself for their surprising hooks, adrenaline spiked guitars, and rhythmic changes that will have you nodding away in rhythm and approval. All 11 tracks are full of something for everyone. Their first track, “Less Than Four” reveals the bands obvious influences of Taking Back Sunday and Fall Out Boy, but I find lead singer Ryan Dominguez’s voice more appealing. It has a catchy melody and notable vocal echoes in the chorus.
The second track to follow, “The Promise in Compromise” delivers memorable lyrics, a well flowing chorus and it is simple at best. My favorite track is number six titled “611 Life Lesson” It starts off with a heavy chaotic guitar intro and then bounces into a more punk/pop delivery. Clever lyrics rant about the truth on waiting around forever for a person that is just taking advantage. Ryan Dominguez bellows, “there’s only so much more that a boy can take of this” and “there’s got to be a price to pay when you walk away”. Some of us can relate. Track 7, “Can I Change Your Mind” leads you to a more pop place for this album and proves Tokyo Rose really had fun recording this fully packed 11 track work.
Girls will love Track 11, “Seconds Before The Crash”. They slow down the pace of the album and provide sweet guitars and comforting lyrics to end this CD with the finishing touch it very much deserved.
