August 4 , 2007 - Recently we chatted with vocalist James Muñoz of The Bled, who are playing on the Revolution Stage on this year's Projekt Revolution Tour. Below is what he had to say with us.

The Bled

FES: How did The Bled get selected for this year's Projekt Revolution Tour lineup?

James: The dudes in Linkin Park were kind enough to invite us to be on this tour via email and management consultations.

FES: What are your thoughts on being selected to perform on this years Projekt Revolution Tour?

James:  We are really honored to have been asked. Its a really well organized tour, and a great opportunity to play for a lot of new faces. We've toured with a few of the bands in the past which makes it really comfortable as far having some friends and familiar faces to hang with. Its a lot fun so far.

FES: For fans who have not yet seen The Bled in concert can you tell us a little about the band and what we can expect when The Bled hits the Projekt Revolution Tour stage?

James: We like to keep things really heavy, and bring a good vibe, and a ton of energy. We play early everyday so its pretty much our mission to wake people. A lot sweat, a pretty bad odor, some serious headbanging, loud guitars and insane drumming. I don't know how it looks or sounds from the audience perspective but on stage its a clusterfuck of fun-ness.

FES: Now that Projekt Revolution Tour has started what has it been like so far for The Bled?

James: The shows have been pretty intense so far. We roll out of bed, brush some teeth, pound some monster energy drink, and hit the stage. The crowds have been really receptive, and we've met a ton of people at the signings or just walking around. Its been a phenomenal experience so far and its just getting started.

FES: How many songs will The Bled be performing and will it be a mixture of newer and older material?

James: We play seven songs in a half hour set. Two new jams and five not so new ones.

FES: Does The Bled plan on chronicling the band's exploits on The Projekt Revolution tour and if so where can fans go to see or read it?

James: People can keep up with a lot of the bled hijinks by reading our weekly myspace blogs, and going to our buzznet page to see some videos of us being ugly, yet informative.

FES: What does the band do to kill time when traveling from show to show?

James: We play a lot of guitar hero, watch television shows on dvd, and talk about memories past. Some of us take part in extracurricular activities, some of us even read sometimes. We try to keep the downtime on the up and up.

FES: Out of all the bands playing on this year's Projekt Revolution Tour, excluding The Bled, who would you say is the must see performer?

James: There's this band called My Chemical Romance who put on a pretty amazing live show. Great guitar playing, catchy sing along summer jams, and plenty of fucking pyro bro.

FES: Do you have anything to say to fans that have or will be coming to see The Bled perform on this year's Projekt Revolution Tour?

James: Show up early, drink a lot of water, and body bang, baby!

The Bled's latest album "Silent Treatment" is scheduled for release on September 25, 2007 on Vagrant Records.

The Bled are from Tuscon, AZ and tour on a regular basis.

The Bled band lineup:
James Muñoz - Vocals
Jeremy Talley - Guitar
