Sammy Witness has been playing solo acoustic, but did not seem nervous at all to introduce her band and take her stand.
Sammy is young, tactfully expressive, and daring in her musical presentation and it made for a great show that left some audience members speechless. She's only 17 years old but knows how to charm her audience in between songs and knows how to powerfully captivate them with her vocal ability.

Her songs are a real, deep hearted expression of all that she has already gone through in her teenage years. Although she allows her voice to sound very melancholy at times and full of remorse she is able to go from soft verses of happy thoughts to rough chorus with loud belting messages that shoot straight through your spine. She strums her acoustic guitar with confidence as she sings about the fear of being stuck in her garage playing songs and no one finding out about her.

A favorite at the Surf Café was a song titled "Take Me Home" about an experience she must have had on a bad date. I was standing toward the back of the room and I heard an older audience member say "Is that what I think she said?" after Sammy singing out "Fu@# your pride!" during a chorus to one of her last songs. A few minutes later that same man was bobbing his head along to that very same song.

So, if Sammy's goal is to grab your attention, that's just what she did. Remarkable song writing skills and her vibrant personality have won me over as a forever fan. I know I'll be watching out for this young brown hair/brown eyed girl from Boca Raton to step out of her garage more often and for her career to progress.
