March 26, 2007 - I just received the new Sevendust CD “Alpha” and let me tell you this CD kicks ass! In my opinion this is the heaviest Sevendust by far. Every song on “Alpha” is filled with in your face riffs, pounding drums and aggressive vocals.

“Alpha” also marks Sonny Mayo recording debut with the band and it sure seems like it pumped new life into the band. The CD kicks off with “Deathstar,” then continues to pummel you from there with tracks like “Driven,”“Suffer” and “Beg To Differ.”

If you’re a fan of the band you’ll notice a change in the band's music. If your not a fan just listen to “Alpha” and I promise you will be. They started off a very strong when they first burst onto the scene but then seemed like they drifted away. But know they have returned with a vengeance and I’m sure they will be destroying venues everywhere.

Sevendust is from Atlanta, Ga and tour on a regular basis. Their latest album, "Alpha" is now available at all the usual outlets.
