Reel Big Fish Land In Orlando
By LeeAnn Huntoon/FloridaEntertainmentScene.com

July 19, 2006 - Orlando, FL - In a sea of Black shirts and holy mesh, fans of the Mohawk persuasion and the pierced masses huddled patiently for the stage curtains to pull back at the House of Blues.

Reel Big Fish took this place and shook it loose. From wall to wall
fans were breaking out, tossing into each other. No matter where or when Reel Big Fish has a show, there is always a time to mosh.

With the freedom of finally being released from their past label, these boys are ready to cause some commotion, and you can bet it will all come out on stage. A giant skull and crossbones greets the audience as Reel Big Fish takes on the crowd in such a way that only a badass band like RBF would ever dare…with a COVER?!?! That’s right! I said
a cover.

In comes the count with beats already flaring…one, two …one, two, three, four! Take On Me, an eighties favorite with a new twist. The band kicked it up with a blazing brass intro and ripped through with a syncopated chorus full of twists and unpredictable turns. Vocally it was a chaotic rush. The place was pounding with a seize-less
energy that rocked through to your bones. This was an intrinsic ride you’ll want to experience over and over again. The bands eclectic
jive and relaxed humor made the night as interesting as it was intensely fresh.

Reel Big Fish took control of the audience with an insane enthusiasm. Constantly revving up the crowd with chants and screams, and then it happened. BEER! This is one of the greatest songs ever to be played LIVE. Aaron Barrett (lead vocals/guitar) is fully involved with the crowd through the entire show. A reggae groove flows as the chant starts from the front and floods back towards the bar. “ I think I’ll have myself a beer.” Shouts the crowd, with everyone raising their cups and bottles, the words just flowed off their lips. It was like a huge keg party and everyone was with the band.

After seeing them LIVE I am totally hooked on REEL BIG FISH. Their self-released live double CD and DVD set “Our Live Album Is Better Than Your Live Album” is now available [at online sites such as cdbaby.com.] The title alone makes you privy to the juvenile antics you can expect to find at a Reel Big Fish show. If you don’t get a chance to see the chaos live, this is the next best thing.

Reel Big Fish Is:
Aaron Barrett - Vocals/Lead Guitar
Ryland Steen - Drums
Dan Regan - Trombone
Scott Klopfenstein - Trumpet/Guitar/Piano/Vocals
John Christianson - Trumpet
Matt Wong - Bass

Reel Big Fish is from Orange County California and tour on a regular basis. For more band information visit the official Reel Big Fish Website. To sample music visit the Reel Big Fish page at Myspace.com.
