Need To Breathe Entertains Orlando

This band from South Carolina had so much to offer the Social as headlines of the Love and Heat Tour. Lead singer Bear Rineheart belted convincing lyrics, contributing the harmonica and the piano to songs he and brother guitar player Bo Rineheart put together. They delivered a memorable and a credit due experience.

Need To Breathe are a very enjoyable and easy to listen to band. Their songs were emotional based and descriptive in comparison to bands like Switchfoot and Train. The melodies were soothing and left a long lasting affect.
Bear Rinheart announced a song that Bo Rineheart had written called “Haley” and it was absolutely beautiful. Something about the song reminded me of the old material from The Goo Goo Dolls. It’s nice to see a band that can bring it down and play a slower song and get such an awesome audience response. When Bear played the piano it added an additional savory experience.

Need To Breathe played their single “You Are Here” off their Daylight album and it was a very catchy song and their obvious fans in the audience new every word to this song as they belted along and cheered on the transitioning guitar from verse to chorus.
Bo took the lead in singing an EMF cover “Unbelievable” and this song really rocked the house. The drummer was swaggering and grooving along and they got a great response from the crowd and gave this song some new light. Bo’s voice was great for this song because he has a smoother voice than Bear and had equally awakening energy.

For their last song Bear asked The Social for something very untraditional. He invited the audience to gather around the main floor and asked for the Monitors to be turned off and he put the microphone down and sang acoustic to “Shine On” and it was absolutely beautiful. The bassist, Seth Bold had a shaker in his hand and Bo and Bear had their acoustic guitars and their projection as they harmonized was memorable and The Social loved it. No encore was necessary. They left us all breathless and satisfied in seeing this very talented band try something a little daring and definitely succeed.
