Melissa and her guitarist Brett Lieberman performed a stripped down, breath taking version of Melissa's soon to
be released album, One of Those Girls. I couldn't imagine what Melissa's catchy, pop, guitar driven sound was
going to be like without a bass player, drummer, or
keyboard player. But she magnificently took the stage
and gave us an emotional performance not to be forgotten.

Her set included 8 originals and only two covers, including
a Melissa Etheridge song and a rare but special song
by POE, called Control, which took the audience by
surprise. Undeniably, she had complete control during her entire set and demonstrated her strong vocal talents complimented by the sound of a soulful, clean and electrifying guitar. She ended the night with her titled song Fiend. She timelessly belted out a vibrating note that must have lasted more than 15 seconds. Looking around at the crowd they seemed equally dumbfounded by the power
she had just delivered. The crowd was thrown into a
very approving uproar that encouraged an encore.

After meeting Melissa back stage she offered, "I was very nervous going up there without the support of a full band,
but I love the crowd and I think I could say it was a very
safe success."

Melissa was a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader and her enthusiasm during her performance tonight continued the rest of the night as friends and fans flocked to congratulate her, a congratulations well deserved.
