July 26, 2006 - Orlando, FL - With a boyish charm this one-man dynamo has won the hearts of his fans with a fast wit and a rampantly hot guitar. At first look all you see is this young, yet oddly handsome guy step up to the stage with his guitar in hand. But then
I started to wonder… Is this it? Where is the band? Just as fast as
that thought entered my mind, it is completely discarded. Jokingly Mark flirts with the crowd. His songs are introduced with a playful enthusiasm that often involves some awkwardly funny yet slightly dirty story. Matt Nathanson knows how to entice you, pull the audience in close and then make them laugh out loud. It’s an all-together uniquely entertaining experience, filled with laughs and
really great music.

His song “Princess” is an entertaining rendition or should I say continuation of an old favorite “Jesse’s Girl” by Rick Springfield. The familiar beat and catchy chord progression remind you of the original, but the word play is what makes it a Matt Nathanson creation. Sarcastic yet playful repartee pour through the lyrics with a gregarious energy that will someday be a familiar trademark to his songs. He says goodbye the same way he gets introduced. With a smile and a slightly naughty joke he ropes the crowd into one more opportunity for audience participation.

Matt's liveliness and playful banter make for a refreshing change in music. He gave everything he had down to the last song when the energy was so strong that…his guitar strings broke! But he pushed through it and at the end pulled it off like a true star. I can’t wait to
see what he’s capable of with a full band. And when this happens WATCH OUT!
