Letter
Kills
On the Nintendo Fusion Tour at
Hard Rock Live - Orlando, FL |
November
8th, 2004 - Letter Kills... just by the name you should already
be guessing that this band is insane, and I mean that as the highest
complement. Whether stage diving or clapping along with the crowd,
nothing Letter Kills did tonight was less than what the crowd wanted
or expected. After their set guitarist Dustin Lovelis went into the
photo pit and personally thanked fans for coming to the show. Then
the band made an appearance at their mech booth to meet new and old
fans alike and spent several minutes talking with them.
Musically, Letter Kills was decent, even respectable, especially
if you consider how much head banging, crowd surfing and falling
on the floor was involved in the process. During tonight's show they
had several stand out moments, including when singer Matt Shelton
promised every lady in the audience a gift of a "Brand New Man," a
pun towards a song from their latest release The Bridge. Other memorable
points included the performance of songs like "Whatever it Takes," "Radio
Up" and "Hold My Heart."
During the show, it was clear that Letter Kills knew what
to do to get the audience moving; but after the show it was clear
that they knew how to keep them satisfied. It was really great
to see a band that actually cares about what their fans think.
