KY Deity
At Gotham Hall
Forty Myers, FL

Wednesday, March 31, 2005 - KY Deity took the stage at Fort Myers local music hot spot Gotham Hall. As the band was setting up, the crowd moved toward the stage, obviously anticipating Ky Deity's performance, which made me eager
to see what the hype was all about. Though I have heard of
Ky Deity, prior to tonight I had not seen them perform nor heard any of their music.

As they started to play I realized what the exhilaration was about, from their very first song to their last, I was hooked. The intros to their music are different from other metal groups, with a high voltage trans type electonica feel to it, then "boom" hardcore and jolting. The music is both upbeat and ear catching. It requires you to get upon your feet and start jumping and stomping. I intended to enjoy the show as
I sat at my table, but soon wanted to join in with everyone else. There is just no way you can sit there and not thrash around as the music literally surges through you. The atmosphere that the band brought out was full of life. The band did a great job connecting with the crowd, encouraging everyone to have a good time.

Stage performance was overall incredible. Everything from their facial expression to their larking about on stage was highly stimulating. I'd have to say that their vibe kept the crowd energized and in a state of constant motion. Lead vocalist, Guy Noegel, delivered the lyrics clear and concise, which is almost 'unheard of' in metal circles. While guitarist Dave Alexander and Saint Michael had performed a heavy duel guitar attack, whipping the crowd in a whirl of excitement while searing their fret work. Drummer, Rick Margerison ferociously beat the hell out of the drums during each song.

This vivacious band is amazing live and nothing short from awe-inspiring. The music is original, defining their own genre of songs with dark texture to the mix. It's just simply awesome and you must GO SEE them perform. You will not be disappointed.

KY Deity is from Fort Myers, FL. They regularly play shows in Florida. KY Deity is: Guy Noegel - Vocals/Programming, Saint Michael - Guitar, Dave Alexander - Bass and Rick Margerison - Drums.
