Kelly Clarkson
Breakaway CD Review
Released by: RCA Records
Release Date: November 30, 2004 |
This is a Sophomore album from the original American
Idol winner, Kelly
Clarkson. With this CD, you see Kelly maturing and really coming into her
own. This CD is more
of a rockier, grittier, harder sound--though still pop.
Kelly
co-wrote 6 of the 12 songs on this CD.

Kelly Clarkson |
Though in her early twenties, it is obvious that Kelly is
quite the
professional and puts everything she has into
each and every song.
This CD starts off with the title track, "Breakaway," Great acoustic guitars
in this song. Very crisp & clear and hold
the whole structure of the song
together.
"Since U Been Gone," is a high energy, vocally powered, pop/rock jam with a
hook that is infectious. Perfect choice for a first single.
Clarkson's current single is "Behind These Hazel Eye," It is one of those
kind of songs that you can't help but sing along with. It is easy to see
why it is #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The closing song, "Beautiful Disaster," is a live version of the song.
Expect more great things to come from Kelly Clarkson who was nominated for three 2005 music video awards.
