April 6, 2007 - You may have heard of Chris Daughtry, the former American Idol contestant but this isn’t your Idol Daughtry and on his self titled release “Daughtry” you’ll see why. Chris’ vocals are amazing and he showcases them in grand fashion from the opening note of his hit single “It’s Not Over.” Other tracks that really stand out are “Used To,” “Feels Like Tonight,” “Gone” and "Home" [dedicated to U.S. troops overseas].

But oh no it doesn’t stop there people. I predict this North Carolina native will go on and be the most productive and successful past Idol contestant yet. There’s not a bad song on this album, which is surprising nowadays and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve seen that. If you like straight forward no nonsense straight up rock with big guitars and fresh hooks Daughtry has cornered the market, so run out and purchase “Daughtry” today.

Daughtry will be touring throughout the summer so be sure you catch them when they hit your town.
