Allele Concert Review
At: The Metro

November 6, 2005 - Melbourne, FL - I received a call from the owners of Metro Entertainment inviting me to come out and see the band, " Allele " at their club in West Melbourne, "The Metro." What a cool venue with everything for everyone. Movies, live music on two stages, pool, darts, and what a great idea to have bands play in front of the movie screen, while being projected live on the screen. This club is not genre specific, but rather like a circus of activity. They just like to rock and treat each and every guest like personal friends.

I have to admit I had never heard of Allele until tonight, when I attended their show. I expected to only stay for part of the set and begin to mingle. Instead, I was captured immediately when Allele hit the stage with an energy that made me pay attention right away. Imagine the blue, red, and yellow lights flashing, and the guitar blasting through the amps, and the lead singer having what I might call a rock seizure right in front of your eyes. Loud and exciting with pure originality kept my full attention for their entire set.

As the room began to fill with curious music fans who had caught sight of the band as they passed by and decided they wanted to see more. You could tell some of these people, like myself, had no idea what a group of outstanding musicians we were in witness. When the band announced their new single, "Closer to Habit" and broke into the song putting the viewing area in a visual trance. Talk about touching the audience with lyrics. I think so many people were made fans as this song was played out. What a mixed crowd of personalities in this crowd. They all appeared to have one thing in common which was they were now all turning into Allele fans. I watched their heads began to rock up and down, some who I knew had not done that in years. Teenagers were looking at this band like they were the best thing to hit West Melbourne in a long while.

As the bands set ended it was as if all were united. Now when a band can do that in 30 minutes you can imagine what listening to the entire CD might do to you. Take a listen and join the growing Allele fan family.
