Terrorists Are Watching Presidential Caucuses, Says Mideast Expert
RAMALLAH, West Bank, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "Who is this Ron Paul? He sounds good." This was asked yesterday by Abu Oudai, a senior northern West Bank commander of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, who called Aaron Klein to take credit for an earlier shooting attack on Israeli soldiers he said was carried out by his group. But his comments on the U.S. election highlighted something Klein learned first hand this past year while writing his latest book, "Schmoozing with Terrorists" -- that America's terrorist enemies pay close attention to our election cycle.
"A lot of people tend to think terrorists live like barbarians in caves. Actually, many terrorists, certainly the dozens I met in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, reside in well-decorated apartments with all the trappings of a modern production company," writes Klein, who meets with terrorists regularly.
In today's modern world, it's very easy for anyone speaking any language to be updated almost immediately about all kinds of events. This includes America's terror enemies, who watch Arabic satellite news, read Internet news websites and pay particularly close attention to news of U.S. domestic opinion regarding our government's Mideast policies.
"It's important for our leaders to understand the terrorists are watching," Klein says. "The primary debate in America and our ultimate decision on who to send to the polls will likely directly impact the war being waged against us."
Aaron Klein is a Jerusalem-based journalist and is author of "Schmoozing with Terrorists," by WND Books. He regularly travels into the viper's den of Middle East terrorism where he sits down and schmoozes with terrorist leaders, aspiring suicide bombers and violence-spewing sheiks. |
