Dog Whisperer has grown into a pop culture phenomenon, including parodies on "South Park" and "Saturday Night Live" and a guest star role for Millan on the hit series "Ghost Whisperer." America's favorite dog behavior expert and #1 New York Times best-selling author Millan uses his calm, assertive guidance to take the bite out of these canine transgressions and to teach the owners how to be pack leaders in their own homes.
The two world premiere episodes during Dog Whisperer Week include a spinning Kerry blue terrier, a bearded collie turned home dictator and two nipping Malteses:
Dog Whisperer: Bodhi, Maggie & Molly, and Bojo Monday, July 9, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (World Premiere)
Meet a 5-year-old Kerry blue terrier named Bodhi who has developed an unpredictable aggression. His owners have tried everything, ranging from a professional trainer to muzzling to treats, but nothing has worked. Can Cesar Millan turn this Kerry blue terrier into a merry blue terrier? Next, go inside a retirement home where Maltese dogs Maggie and Molly have become so territorial they now bite anyone who approaches. The manager has warned that if the dogs bite one more person, they will be banned. Can Cesar squash Maggie and Molly's nip? Then, meet a male bloodhound/Catahoula mix named Bojo, who so frequently attacks his fellow companion - a rescued stray female named Tippy -that they must be separated. Tippy is afraid to do anything that would cause Bojo to attack, even leaving a little bit of her food in her bowl for Bojo. Can Cesar teach Bojo some etiquette in fine dining?
Dog Whisperer: Amber, Snoopy and Schroeder Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (World Premiere)
Amber, a 5-year-old golden retriever mix, is loving, gentle and great with people . but not with dogs. She attacks any that cross her path! Can Cesar Millan lay down the law and teach Amber the rules? Then, meet Snoopy, a cute bearded collie, who has intruded on her owner's home, work and love life. Snoopy barks, howls and scratches at the guitar of her owner's boyfriend. She also has a knack for charging other dogs with the intent of attacking them. How will Cesar be able to make Snoopy face the music? Finally, an adopted Lhasa apso/Cavalier King Charles spaniel mix named Schroeder shows aggression toward other dogs even while on a leash. How will Cesar step in to calm this problem pooch?
With more than 20 years of experience working with canines, Cesar Millan has been called "Dr. Phil for dogs," and for good reason. He has a unique gift of rehabilitating dogs and training their owners. The Emmy-nominated series Dog Whisperer is the hugely popular series that follows Cesar as he goes directly into the homes of dog owners - without any prior information about the dog's case - and documents the remarkable transformations that take place under his calm and assertive guidance.
