New York, NY – Brand New have announced a headlining tour of the US for this spring in support of their third album – The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me – out now on Interscope Records. The tour will kick off on March 15th at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY and 30+ date trek will end on April 25th at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA. This will mark the band’s first headlining tour of the US since the new album’s November 21st release and will follow a full European tour with Jeremy Enigk as their main support. The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is the band’s follow up to their critically acclaimed sophomore album Deja Entendu (Triple Crown Records/Razor & Tie – June 2003). Produced by Brand New along with longtime friend Mike Sapone and mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand and The Mars Volta), the new album has found critics comparing the band to Radiohead, U2, Modest Mouse and Pink Floyd, with most crediting this as Brand New’s most mature and realized work yet. “Brand New took a huge step forward in 2003 with Deja Entendu, tossing away everything predictable about emo. Formed in 2001, Long Island's Brand New – Jesse Lacey, Vin Accardi, Brian Lane and Garrett Tierney – has built a massive cult following over the years due to their music, their notorious live show and their relentless touring schedule. The band has constantly pushed themselves to grow and evolve with each record they’ve released from their debut Your Favorite Weapon (Triple Crown Records, October 2001) to 2003’s Deja Entendu to 2006’s Devil and God are Raging Inside Me and the fans have followed them on this journey. Combined, these three releases have sold more than a million records worldwide. The summer of 2006 marked the band’s first US headlining tour in three years. The sold-out tour was a huge success with a number of dates selling out in a matter of seconds. Brand New returned to the road with Dashboard Confessional this past fall for a sold-out tour of Arenas across the US including a stop at the legendary Madison Square Garden in NYC. The band’s first single “Sowing Season (Yeah)” jumped from the internet to Modern Rock radio after the album's release. The song is currently most requested on stations like KNDD/Seattle, 89X/Detroit and WBRU/Providence. “Jesus Christ” will be released as the first official single in advance of the upcoming tour and Brand New will debuted the track on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
