Season Two Of Critically-Acclaimed Series The Wire Set To Premeire Tonight April 5, 2007 At 10:00 pm ET/PT
WHAT: THE WIRE continues to be
edgier, more raw and more realistic than any "cop show" ever seen on
television. Starring Idris Elba (as Stringer Bell), Michael Williams and
Lance Riddick, season one was centered on Baltimore's inner-city drug
scene. Season two charts the activities of members of a joint
homicide/narcotics detail, who last season exposed a drug operation in
several apartment projects only to find themselves stigmatized and
reassigned. The series also focuses on their criminal counterparts,
expanded to include not only familiar drug dealers from last season, but
a new group of longshoremen and members of organized crime caught up in
a major homicide case at Baltimore's shipping port.

SCHEDULE: Thursdays from 10 - 11 p.m. ET/PT
