Projekt Revolution Tour Returns
By Jimmie Knighten/FloridaEntertainmentScene.com

July 5, 2007 - After a two year break the Projekt Revolution Tour will be fronted by Linkin Park and will be stopping in West Palm Beach at Sound Advice Ampitheater on August 10, 2007 and in Tampa at the Ford Ampitheater on August 11th.

This is the second year the show will span out over two stages with bands such as Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo and Julien-K on the Main Stage and Saosin, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Bled, Styles of Beyond, and Madina Lake on the Revolution Stage.

With previous line-ups including Cypress Hill, Mudvayne, Korn, and Snoop Dogg this year's bill has big shoes to fill, but musicians on the tour feel no pressure. The focus seems to be more on awareness and charity rather than competition.

"Our main focus right now is we're working with an organization that helps plant trees. "We're donating a dollar from every ticket to basically all that money, hopefully we're going to try and plant over a million trees during this touring cycle." Chester Bennington of Linkin Park explained.

"We're really focusing on allowing all the other bands to really put on whatever show they want to put on," says Chester Bennington. But the mainliners agree that you can expect a pretty incomplex set from them.

"I think our show is probably going to be in terms of production probably more on the simple side and focusing more on our performance of our persons and just trying to bring as much energy to the stage as we possibly can," explains Matt Rubano of Taking Back Sunday.

"In terms of our production," Gerard Way, lead singer of My Chemical Romance adds. "I think actually we're going to be performing in a setting or a space and it's not going to be overdone."

Whatever production or setlist is the final result, fans can expect a well arranged tour with many differing styles of music as always promised by Projekt Revolution and its participating bands.

"Of all the monster summer tours, Projeckt Revolution has the most diverse and exciting cast of bands. It is humbling to be chosen and an absolute honor to do it," states Madina Lake, who will be playing second stage.

The Projekt Revoluton tour kicks off in Auburn, WA on July 25, 2007 and concludes on September 3, 2007 in Englewood, CO. Tickets are available now through the usual ticket outlets.
