September 7, 2009 - Metallica brings their World Magnetic Tour to the St. Pete Times Forum on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Special guests Gojira and Lamb of God will be the opening bands. Show Starts at 7:00 pm, tickets are now on sale and cost $52.25 and $72.25 with Channelside Club Packages available for $175.00, which includes ticket in the luxurious Channelside Club, gourmet buffet and beverage. Tickets on the floor will be general admission and the rest of the house will have reserved seating.

Formed in the early 1980's, Metallica, released their first album "Kill 'Em All" in 1983, which has since been certified triple platinum. Their most recent studio album “Death Magnetic" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, as Metallica became the first band to ever achieve five consecutive number one debuts. They have sold over 50 million records, making them the 7th biggest selling act in American history, the band has won 8 Grammy Awards, 3 Billboard Music Awards and 2 American Music Awards. They recently released “The Complete Metallica,” a 163 track box set as well as a Metallica Guitar Hero game. Earlier this year, Metallica was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame located in Cleveland, OH.

Forming in 1990, Lamb of God, has sold nearly 2 million albums and received a grammy nomination for their 2006 album "Sacrament." They have played such major festivals as Ozzfest, Sounds of the Underground and Download Festival before landing on the World Magnetic Tour. Lamb of God's most recent album "Wrath" was released February 23, 2009 and achieved #2 ranking on the Billboard 200 with sales exceeding 68,000 copies sold in the first week of release.

Originally called Godzilla, Gojira, formed in Bayonne, France in 1996 and have released four studio albums. They have toured with bands such as Children of Bodom, Trivium, Lamb of God and Behemoth before landing on the World Magnetic Tour. Gojira's latest studio album "The Way of All Flesh" was released on October 13, 2008.

Tickets for Metallica's "World Magnetic Tour" show at St. Pete Times Forum are now available and can be purchased by logging onto TicketMaster or by visiting the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office. Reserved parking can also be purchased in advance and you can also advance purchase dinner at Medallions Restaurant.
