July 5, 2009 - The Smashing Pumpkins return to Tampa for one show at The Ritz Ybor on Wednesday, July 21, 2009. Special Guests Kill Hannah and Bad City are also scheduled to play. Tickets cost $42.50 for Advance and $45.00 For Day of Show purchase and do not include service charges/fees and/or sales tax. Show is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm

The Smashing Pumpkins
formed in 1998 in Chicago, IL. The band's debut album, "Gish" was released on May 28, 1991 and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. On July 27, 1993 "Siamese Dream" was released peaking at #10 on the Top 200 and selling over six million copies worldwide. In October 1994, the platinum certified "Pisces Iscariot" complilation album was released. In October of 1995, the double album, "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness" was released hitting #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and in November, "Live In Chicago 23.10.95" was released. On November 26, 1996 the five-disc box set, "The Aeroplane Flies High" was released. On June 2, 1998 "Adore" was released peaking at #2 on the Top 200 with two singles hitting the top ten and the album being certified platinum in the USA. In January 2000, "The Smashing Pumpkins 1991-1998" complilation album was released. Then in February, "Machina/The Machines of God" was released followed by "Machina II/The Friends & Enemies Of Modern Music" was released in September. In November 2001, "Judas O" and "Rotten Apples" were released. In 2005, "Rarities And B-Sides" was released. In 2007, The Smashing Pumpkins released "Zeitgeist," their first studio album in seven years. The album debuted at #2 on the Top 200 and has been certified gold. The band's latest studio album, "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope" was released in December 2009. The Smashing Pumpkins have sold over 18 million records and won 1 American Music Award, 2 Grammy Awards and 7 MTV Music Video Awards.

Kill Hannah is from Chicago, IL and formed in 1993. The band's first album, "The Beauty in Sinking Ships" in 1996, "Here Are The Young Moderns" in 1996 and "American Jet Set" in 1999. The band's major label debut album, "For Never & Ever" was released on October 14, 2003. The single "Kennedy" was featured on the Television shows, "Jack & Bobby,"North Shore" and "One Tree Hill" as well as performed live on Last Call With Carson Daly. On August 1, 2006 "Until There's Nothing Left Of Us" was released with the album peaking at #8 on the Billboard Top Heat Seekers chart and the single, "Lips Like Morphine" peaking at #37 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.. After switching record labels, the band released their latest studio album, "Wake Up The Sleepers" on September 29, 2009. Before landing on this tour with The Smashing Pumpkins, Kill Hannah has toured with such well known bands as 30 Seconds To Mars, A.F.I., Chevelle, Dashboard Confessional and Jane's Addiction.

Bad City is from Chicago, IL forming after the band Powerspace broke up. The band's debut album, "Welcome To The Wasteland" is scheduled for release on August 24, 2010 on Atlantic Records and was produced by Johnny K. The band's single, Take Me For A Ride," can be heard on their myspace and YouTube pages [links located at the bottom of the page]. Bad City is: Jake Serek - Bass, Josh Caddy - Lead Vocals, Kevin Kane - Drums, Max Perenchio - Guitar and Tom Schleiter - Guitar.

Show starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are now on sale. This is an all ages show. The Ritz Ybor box office is open 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesdays thru Saturdays. Cash is the preferred method of payment with major credit cards having a $5.00 transaction fee for orders over $100.00 and an $8.00 transaction fee for orders under $100.00. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting the TicketMaster website. Tickets will be left at will call and a valid government issued ID must be presented to get your tickets. The Ritz Ybor is located at 1503 E. 7th Ave in the Ybor City section of Tampa, FL. Parking is available at The Centro Ybor Parking Garage located on 5th Avenue between 15th & 16th Streets directly behind The Ritz Ybor. The Garage is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
