"Rat Genius" ***NEW SPECIAL***

Friday, October 20 at 9:00 PM ET/PT (World Premiere)

Rats have been vilified and associated with disease and filth but why have they been so successful in outsmarting our best efforts to combat them? Now, the National Geographic Channel takes an in-depth look at these clever creatures to reveal their supreme agility, remarkable adaptability, and shockingly witty minds. In Rat Genius, see how scientists are trying to put their intelligence to use in detecting landmines in Africa and sniffing out
disease in humans.

"The Animal Extractors: Raccoon Attack" ***SERIES PREMIERE moves to Monday, Oct. 30 at 10 PM ET/PT***

Monday, October 30 at 10:00 PM ET/PT (World Premiere)

True stories of human-wildlife encounters in people's homes are becoming more commonplace as the boundaries between cities and natural habitats blur. The real question becomes-how do we keep the peace with our wild neighbors? Now, NGC takes you to the front lines of wildlife recovery with its new weekly series The Animal Extractors. First, in the series premiere, wildlife control agents rush to a home where an extremely aggressive mother
raccoon and her litter are living in the attic. Next, a Nevada state field biologist and a black bear expert respond to an emergency call about a bear that entered a woman's kitchen through the "doggie door." Then, in Florida, state alligator control agents are on the trail of a nine-foot male alligator that's been terrorizing a lakeside community in West Palm Beach. And finally, a husband and wife team responds to a call from a distressed woman in a sleepy suburb of Auburn, California, who thought she heard a
sprinkler go off but then realized it was a large rattlesnake, shaking its tail, less than two feet away.

"Dog Whisperer: Chip, Lucy, Hank & Betty, and Leo" ***Replaces "The Animal Extractors" on Monday, Oct. 23 at 10 PM ET/PT***

Monday, October 23 at 10:00 PM ET/PT (Encore Presentation)

Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan comes to the rescue of former James Bond girl Denise Richards. "Wild Things" actress turns to renowned dog behavior expert Cesar Millan to learn how to be the "Pack Leader." At home, Denise finds herself battling daily with a different pack of wild things... her three dogs, Lucy, Hank and Betty. Denise has owned her dogs since they were
puppies, but they seem to be running the household now! Lucy the Boston terrier, Hank the French bulldog and Betty the pug all have one thing in common: they do whatever they want, whenever they want. Can Cesar help Denise regain control of her pack? Viewers will also meet the Pack family and their miniature pinscher Chip. Chip has a nasty habit of nipping at
visitors and after a failed attempt with a dog trainer, the Packs are at a complete loss. Chip's nips have now turned into bites that have drawn blood and even required stitches. Can Cesar show the Packs how to become pack leaders and remove the mean streak in the mini pin? And finally, meet lazy Leo, a 10-month-old basset hound that sometimes refuses to walk, forcing his
owner Linda to literally drag him home. To help out on this unusual case, Cesar enlists two members of his pack: Coco the Chihuahua and Luigi, a 7-year-old Lhasa Apso belonging to Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. Can Cesar teach Linda to master the walk? And how will Leo react to Cesar's pack?
